The major change was to 64-bit and this, potentially affects any binary libraries that were used by the script. If you wrote the script, you will be aware of any binary libraries that were used and whether 64-bit versions are available, or can be made, if you didn't write the script, you would need to contact the author and ask if they have a 17.2 compatible version of the script. TCL and the Capture TCL scripting API are little changed, which is the point of the TCL API, and "text" scripts will be largely unaffected. (The TCL version changed form 8.4 to 8.6 but that is going to be backwards compatible for the majority of built-in TCL functions)
