The SPECIALNETS section is for special nets, not for pins. Leave the pin in the PINS section and add + SPECIAL. See DEF manual for complete syntax.

Here's a sample command from an old script: MacroModel pin macro1/clk 300ps 300ps 300ps 300p 35fF I wouldn't put 0 for the fall delays. Use the same numbers as the rise.

i don't think CLASS COVER is what you want - it assumes no active devices.

Thanks for the reply Andrew. I am using Virtuoso 6.1.7. What my doubt is , from were these specific queue names are picking up. That is , whether it is specified in any cadence related files or picking up by any other script .

Forum Post: What is the difference between the $PATH variables?

This applies to different instruments, but in the example of SPECTRE. in bash environment $PATH variable is setting 1) export MMSIMHOME=$CADHOME/SPECTRE16 export PATH=$PATH:$MMSIMHOME/tools/bin 2) export MMSIMHOME=$CADHOME/SPECTRE16 export PATH=$PATH:$MMSIMHOME/bin In both cases, everything seems to work. Forum Post: Block Rotate

I'm trying to find out how to rotate a block of components in Orcad pcb. There seems to be no results when I search the website. If I Highlight and move all components then do a rotate, the individual components rotate about themselves which is not what I want - any help appreciated.

Being new to Orcad, the first line as me completely baffled. Is move a command line or clicking on the move Icon (which seems to be a cross). Thne where is cose Point and also user pick. Also the date is 5 years ago, is this still relevant? (ALTIUM WAS SO EASY BY COMPARISION)

In the Options tab set the Rotation Point = User Pick. This will keep the relationship of the elements as they are rather than rotate each individual element.

You can type move, select the move icon or use Edit > Move. Once move is enabled look in the Options tab set the Rotation Point = User Pick. You may also need to set the type and angle

Thanks for answering Rik. The only Options tab I can see is on the right. It's one of three Buttons/Tabs, the others are Find & Visibility but Rotation Point is not listed under Options. Am I looking in the wrong place?

I freed your post from moderation (lots of repeated words in the directory listing caused the system to think it was spam, which it isn't). You should be able to use either. Historically there was no consistency in the path settings between different release streams, but we've been gradually standardising on the /bin approach. Don't worry about what the links go to - the common wrapper knows how it's been called. so will work in either case. Regards, Andrew.

The move command has to be active. Select Edit > Move. The Options tab will change and you will be able to set the rotation angle and point among other things.

Forum Post: Update part in layout.

I'm totally finished my design, and have been asked by my customer to add their part number to my assembly drawing. None of my parts in my layout have a text field to support it. I assume I need to revise my library parts to support receiving a new netlist with the correct customer part number. My question is, how do I set up the schematic and layout parts in order for the schematic customer part number (that field is called "CUST_PN" in the schematic)? Do I simply add a text field to my layout part with a matching text field, and place it on the "User Part Number" and on "Assembly_Top" layer?

Are you referring to the signal names in the Waveform Window? If so, increase the "Waveform height" preference under "Waveform Window->Display" in the Preferences Dialog. For other fonts, refer to the following article on Cadence Online Support : http://support.cadence.com/wps/mypoc/cos?uri=deeplinkmin:ViewSolution;solutionNumber=11262170 Thanks. - Doug
